A powerful testimony of how Jesus intervened in a timely manner to rescue a woman who was at the verge of ending her life.
“YAHWEH’S TIMELY RESCUE”
In November of 2021, as our weekly prayer group met to begin the prayer meeting, the door to the prayer room suddenly opened and the prayer leader was called out of the room. The voice of the person in charge who opened the door, sounded urgent as the door closed behind them. Immediately we sensed that something was not right. There was loud crying coming from behind the closed door and we all began to pray in tongues, the prayer language of the Holy Spirit. Not long afterwards, our prayer leader came back into the prayer room with a woman, a senior, who was literally overwhelmed with emotions and told us that the woman desperately needs prayer. She was crying so loudly that it was difficult for us to make out what she was saying. Finally, she was composed enough to tell us that she wanted to kill herself by throwing herself in front of a moving vehicle moments before. But for some reason, she found herself running to the office instead, where she was referred to the prayer group. Godly intervention! Yahweh’s timely rescue!
This is her brief story, from almost committing suicide to being rescued by Yahweh. HALLELUJAH!!
Her three adult sons were having a lot of animosity towards each other over their late father’s will and she was caught up in the middle of all their problems trying to reason with them. None of them would listen to her and kept accusing and threatening each other over what they believed was unfair distribution of the will. Their animosity had intensified so much that she was so fearful they might end up physically hurting each other. She couldn’t understand why they were behaving like that towards one another because she didn’t raise them up that way. Because they wouldn’t listen to her and she didn't want to witness their situation worsening, she thought the best thing for her to do was to end her own life. The day she came to the prayer room was the very day the enemy lied to her to end her life, but the Holy Spirit intervened and brought her the much needed help. As we know, that is exactly what the enemy does by lying to us. Jesus tells us in (JOHN 10:10) that “ the thief (enemy) comes only to steal and kill and destroy. I(Jesus) have come so that they may have life, and have it to the full.”(NIV)
The Lord is so timely in all that He does. He led this woman at His ‘kairos time’ to the prayer meeting where the prayer team gathered around the woman and went into warfare, binding the lies of the enemy over the woman’s mind (Matthew 18:18) and releasing freedom (JOHN 8:36), comfort, peace and the joy of the Lord over her to strengthen her. She was also encouraged to continue to pray for her three sons, believing and trusting God to completely work out their differences. By the time the woman left the prayer meeting, her spirit was very much encouraged and lifted up by only what Yahweh can do through the Holy Spirit.
Praise God! His timely intervention into this woman’s life, saved her from what would have been a very different and tragic outcome.
